it's raining it's pouring

Well the rest of the summer was very eventful for E. He decided the decorative rocks in our gas fireplace downstairs were completely unnecessary. The rocks should be in the air vents in the floors. He spent much of August removing those and putting them in what he considers their rightful place. Bored with out school to attend, Emerson found very inventive ways to entertain himself. He also liked to mix crayons with water and see where he could spread his rainbow in our home. He continued to try and flush things, crayons, small toys, snowman and another bronco. His favorite activity took place when I would tell him NO. If I would not let him do exactly what he wanted, when he wanted, he would simply throw items around the home and scream. These fits of "free will" soon led to me calling a behavior group for therapy. Teach Me LLC is now coming to visit E in our home for 6 hours of behavior therapy a week. I call them my special ed super nanny team. I am so happy they are coming to help.
Now onto the reason for the title...
Spetember has come and E has turned 5 years old. To mark this very special occasion, the day before his birthday he decided there needed to be a flood. I was in the bedroom putting away the bounce house (yes we have a full size bounce house that fits in our bedroom for e... a story for another time) and Geoff comes flying up the stairs to ask me, "what is going on up here?" (I am leaving out a few choice words...) He goes into the guest bathroom and E is holding himself up on the sink by his elbow with one hand and scooping water onto the floor with the other. Both hot and cold water are on FULL BLAST. The sink is over flowing and the floor has at least a 1/2 inch of water on it! E had shoved a whole roll of toilet paper in the drain to stop it up!
Hmmmmm, how did Geoff know this? Well...
it was raining in our kitchen below. Water was coming out of the light fixture and the cabinet above the sink. 5-10 minutes unattended and e was able to accomplish this flood. I am beginning to think his needs are not as "special" as I thought. That little stunt took some serious planning. 5 minutes after we discover this flood, his grandma and grandpa are ringing the doorbell to give him his birthday gift. Water is still pouring out of our ceiling in our kitchen as they come in our front door.
Just another day in our life with e....
